Bromsgrove Sporting clinched the Midland Football League Division One title when they beat local neighbours Studley 2-0 at the Victoria Ground, however they had to wait a while, when a serious injury to former Rousler, Keith Draper Jnr, delayed the second half for around 20 minutes. Everyone at the Victoria Ground wishes Keith a speedy recovery as he seemed to dislocate his elbow.
Sporting started the game cautiously but generally seemed in control, the first goal came in the 22nd. minute when midfielder Robbie Bunn picked the ball up on the edge of the penalty area and duly dispatched his shot past 'keeper Alistair Lewis.
The second goal came with 7 minutes time added on after the 90 when a Jason Cowley free kick found the top corner. There was still another 12 minutes still to be at this point, but the boys from the Victoria Ground saw the time out without too many alarms.
Sporting celebrated on the pitch after the final whistle, the players now have 5 league games to play to see if they can remain unbeaten for the rest of the league campaign.
Another fantastic crowd of 1351 saw pretty much everyone going home happy.
