Bromsgrove Sporting entertained their old friends from Bolehall Swifts at the Victoria Ground in a Midland Football League Division One game on Tuesday evening - their first home midweek league game since October.

The game was decided as the time on the referee's watch had just passed the 90 minute mark. Firstly Luke Shorthouse's left wing cross was turned in at the far post by leading scorer Jason Cowley. Three minutes later Reece Hewitt got through one on one with Bolehall keeper Matty Hill and rounded him to put the ball into the empty net. A minute later Cowley completed the scoring when he charged down a clearance for the Swifts keeper and had the task of rolling the ball into the net.

A result Sporting deserved on the balance of play, but a 3 goal margin was probably a little harsh on Swifts, who had set their stall out to defend and frustrate Sporting, mind you Swifts had a fewe chances of their own in the second half, which they failed to take.

The Rouslers now move on to the F. A. Vase semi-final clash with Cleethorpes Town on Saturday. The first leg takes place at Bromsgrove on Saturday, with the return leg at Cleethorpes the Saturday after.

A crowd of over 3000 is expected for the game at Bromsgrove.
