Lye Town 3 Bromsgrove Sporting 2
After being 2 goals to the good within the first 15 minutes through Jimi Okentunji and Jack Lodge, Sporting should have had the game sewn up by half time. How those missed chances came to haunt us.
Lye came out in the second half a different and inspired outfit, clawing a goal back within 2 minutes of the restart, but the defining moment came minutes later when a Lye attacker was brought down in the penalty area, with Sporting's centre back getting his marching orders for a second yellow card.
The winning goal came in the 68th. minute but as try as they might the Rouslers couldn't get back into the game, but there was a shout for a penalty with 2 minutes left, but it seemed as Kieran Day turned his man in the box, he seemed to slip rather than be challenged just as he was about to shoot.
Next game - Tuesday 29th. November Bromsgrove Sporting vs. Stourport Swifts kick off 7-45pm.
