Bromsgrove Sporting took their unbeaten run to 23 games with a come from behind 3-2 over local rivals Cadbury Athletic.

The Rouslers started brightly and took the lead when good combination play on the right between Chris Lloyd and Andy Nicol saw the ball find top scorer Jason Cowley who scored at the second attempt in the 11th. minute. But Cadbury, who always make it a difficult game, got on level terms when Tory Herbert scored five minutes before the break.

Cadbury who obviously hadn't read the script, took the lead in the 63rd. minute when Herbert scored again. Sporting got back on terms in the 72nd. minute when substitute Tom Craine converted from a tight angle. Craine was brought down in the 90th. minute to gain a penalty which Liam Spink cooly converted to send the majority of the 484 crowd home happy.

Sporting now turn their attention to the F. A. Vase next weekend when they entertain Buckland Athletic in the quarter finals at what will be a packed Victoria Ground as the tickets for the much awaited tie are nearly sold out.
