Bromsgrove Sporting started their league campaign in the Midland Football League Premier Division with a comprehensive 4-0 against Quorn at Farley Way Stadium. Sporting got off to a fast start as they did at Rocester on Tuesday in the F. A. Cup when Liam Spink finished acrobatically from a Robbie Bunn corner in the sixth minute. Sporting double their lead three minutes before the interval when Jordan Jones headed home. After the interval Quorn came more into the game and put the Sporting back line under some pressure, but even then their were chances at the other end, The Rouslers had the perfect chance to add to their lead when a penalty was awarded for handball, substitute Jason Cowley stepped up, but the home custodian Ryan Thacker turned Cowley's effort round the post. A great counter attack from the boys from Bromsgrove, after a Quorn corner ended with Cowley lashing the ball home in the 80th. minute to make the game safe. Cowley doubled his tally in the second minute of time added on when he tapped home after Robbie Bunn's effort had been parried by Thacker. Sporting have an inactive midweek while most others play, but entertain Coleshill Town in the F. A. Cup next Saturday at the Victoria Ground.Back
