Bromsgrove Sporting progressed into the 2nd. Round of the Smedley Crooke Memorial Challenge Cup, after they beat Worcestershire neighbours Inkberrow 3-2.

Sporting made the perfect start when Sean Brain rounded the keeper to score in the 9th. minute. Chris Lloyd doubled the advantage in the 31st. minute after converting from 10 yards after Brain had pulled the ball back to him.

Sporting continued to dominate in the second half and made it 3-0 in the 53rd. minute when Chris Conway's shot found the back of the net from inside the penalty area.

To their credit Inkberrow never gave up and gave their higher division rivals a fright towards the end when they pulled 2 goals back, through George Thomas (75) and Sean Parish (85), before the end to make life a little uncomfortable for Sporting.

Sporting will now play hosts to Knowle F. C. in the next round - date to be arranged, and will be announced on here when it has been decided.
