Bromsgrove Sporting continued their winning run with a 2-1 victory over Uttoxeter Town at the Victoria Ground.

Manager Paul Smith, shuffled round his players again, in a bid to keep them all fresh with still three games to play in the final week.

Sporting took the lead in the 7th. minute when John Pykett converted at the far post from a Tom Craine cross from the left hand side. Uttoxeter equalised in the 27th minute with a goal from Ollie Ritchie giving debutant keeper Steve Grogan no chance. Four minutes later the Rouslers were down to 10 men when striker Luke Shorthouse was shown a red cars for a challenge on Tom Morgan. Immediately manager Paul Smith sacrificed scorer Pykett, and brought on striker Jason Cowley.

The game looked like it was likely to be heading for a draw, but these Bromsgrove boys are a resiliant lot, so it was no surprise to see them conjure up another goal, this was provided by Sam Wills in the 79th. minute when the midfielder picked the ball up on the edge of the area and fizzed a shot into the far corner of the net.

Another excellent crowd of 680 saw Sporting's unbeaten league run extend to 35 games, a tough test lies in wait on Saturday when Bromsgrove travel to Sheepy Road, home of Atherstone Town on Saturday - kick off 3pm.
